It was absolutely ridiculous, and his voice borders on terrible but it's absolutely brilliant when it all comes together. This guy is fearless. If this was 1970, this guy would see David Bowie and raise him. Simon Cowell would roll his eyes, and I wouldn't want to see this performance every day, but it proves this guy will try anything. And that's all you can ask for.

I wouldn't call him David Cook, but if people had voted the same way they did in AI 2008 for CI 2003, I think it would have been Hoggard standing there instead of Kalen Porter. It's not enough to have a great voice. You have to have something else. Old School is a brilliant song and it's delivered the way it should be. Hoggard isn't the best singer in the world, but he uses 100 percent of his talent.
